Are you really alive?
So, on an average a human sleeps for one-third part of their day. (that’s only if you sleep 8 hours, not if you are a freaking - Wizard who can pull through life on 4-5 hours of sleep. I mean seriously how do people do it?) Which means you are sleeping, or lying partially dead for one-third part of your life.
So, say you live for 75 years, then YOU my dear are sleeping for 25 years out of those 75 years or for 9,125 days approximately. (No, I am not a Math god, I googled that ish.)
Naaaooow, you can’t compromise much on the sleep cause you know
***(read in the geekiest tone possible)***
"OUR BIOLOGY POSES REASONABLE RESTRICTIONS ON US”. The body needs what it needs. But what about the time when you are up and awake.
Are you really awake?
Are conscious of your subconscious?
In other words, are you connected to your inner self or your life force?
Are you in sync with your intuition?
***(how much more could I possibly attack your dignity!!!!!)***
If you are an average person, the answer to all of the above questions is a phhaaattt NOOOO!
(By now you probably think I’m a bitch!)
You are probably doing a job that pays you well. Or may be you are getting an amazing degree from “Only for rich brats University”(no, I’m not judging you, I am desperately trying to sound funny here!) And may be you are married and settled in the eyes of the human society.
Yes, you have gotten somewhere in life, and somewhere is better than nowhere isn’t it.
But were you really awake while living through all of it? Aware of the beat of your heart, in sync with your gut feeling, in touch with the life inside you.
All these years of your life, did you just live through the seasons of earth or did you really feel them?
Is the child in you still free or did you let the judgments from people around you lock it up in a cage?
Does you inner self ever speak to you so loud and clear, that you feel like you aren’t really alone, like you are with someone.
Do you ever reaaaally listen, to birds chirping, over noisy of vehicles on the street?
Do you ever look at a tiny plant and wonder that “Oh my god, that’s LIFE, this plant is alive!”
Do you look at the moon and wonder “How did NASA make it possible for humans to land on the moon in 1969, with such minimal technology and no computers?” (I mean that was a freaking miracle.)
No matter where you live, what you are going through or what you have achieved, being alive is privilege that every life form shares.
We are all indeed privileged.
It was a sheer coincidence that you are even here, on this planet. That your parents actually met and mated. That “YOU" out of millions of sperms, was the one who was actually able to come to life as full functional human being. You are the most intelligent species on this planet. The probability of any of this happening ,exactly the way it did was extremely low. And yet here you are, "YOU ARE A MIRACLE OF LIFE”. Why wouldn’t you come alive, then?
You are a human and like every other human you are capable of endless and unique possibilities. You don’t have to become extra-ordinary to achieve something, you just have to come alive.
All the people who were considered extra-ordinary in human history - Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Steve Jobs and a plethora of other personalities, they weren’t extraordinary, they were just awake and alive.
It's easy to live in a default mode, we have all done it sometime or the other.
It's easy to live on the surface and just go with the flow, to never dig deeper into yourself. To never know who you truly are. It's easy to live meaninglessly, with no depth in yourself.
It's easy to settle, to conclude things.
But, you are already sleeping through 25 years of your life. Why not be fully awake and alive in the rest 50 years!
